Nawazuddin’s Lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui Released In The CDR Case
Advocate Rizwan Siddiqui was arrested by Thane Police on March 16 and was remanded in police custody till March 23, has now been released
Bombay High Court
ordered the Thane police to release Rizwan Siddiqui, just a short while back.
Speaking to media
after his release, Siddiqui said, “I had full faith in the judiciary. You can
read in the court order if they found the Thane police action against me fair
or not. I faced the law, did not apply for bail or run away and my stand has
been vindicated. I would not like to speak on any of my clients.”
Rizwan Merchant,
Siddiqui's lawyer said, "Legal procedure was not followed. Complete
violation of law. Court has directed senior officer of Thane Police to initiate
inquiry against those who have taken the law in their own hands."
Rizwan was
arrested for allegedly obtaining CDRs of Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s
wife Aaliya Siddiqui.
Last night, we told you that Ayesha was summoned
by the Thane Crime Branch. Thane police recovered actor Sahil
Khan’s call details while interrogating Rizwan Siddiqui.
According to Thane
Police Crime Branch DCP Abhishek Trimukhe, Ayesha Shroff shared Sahil’s number
with Siddiqui.
On seeing her name getting involved in CDR Case, Kangana lashed out at the cops and said, “When we respond to a notice, we give all details to lawyer. To assume that these details were used to violate law & make statements based on that assumption and defame an artist is irresponsible on Abhishek Trimukhe's part. Proper investigation should be carried out before making assumptions.”
